The BOSS KATANA-100/212 MKII retains the features of the original but has a number of innovations that will make today's musicians very happy. In addition to the five familiar tube amp emulations, this updated version adds five more vintage amp sounds. The 212 version also has a second 12-inch speaker built in.
Also new are the 65 effects to expand your guitar sounds and the effects sounds that were already present are improved and expanded with octave, pitch shifting and various additional delays
All effects types are controlled with their own knobs thanks to the dual effect potentiometers and assignable on/off switches. Also pedal bends, volume and wah can be controlled with an optional expression pedal. Presets from other Katana models you've worked with can also be loaded and used directly here
The Tone Editor can be used to fine-tune all the effects to your taste. BOSS' stereo expand feature allows you to connect one Katana, as master, to another Katana, as slave, to give your guitar sound, reverbs and delays more depth.
