The Yamaha CLP-765GP is a digital grand piano from the Clavinova 700 series with a beautiful, classic grand piano look. Many modern techniques have been applied to ensure that the playing feel and sound are as natural as possible.

GrandTouch-S KeyboardWhat

is striking about this grand piano is the finely playing GrandTouch-S keyboard. It features 88 keys that feel like you are playing on a real acoustic grand piano. The white keys are synthetic ivory and the black keys are synthetic ebony. The white keys have a different length than the black keys just like keyboards in an acoustic grand piano.

The GrandTouch keyboard features an escapement mechanism that allows you to press the same key in quick succession. The keyboard gives a lot of dynamic control; from pianissimo to fortissimo. Be sure to come and try the keyboard in our showroom! The -S addition (behind GrandTouch) stands for Small. The CLP-765GP is in fact (if you compare it with acoustic grand pianos) of the 'small grand' type.

Enormous sound in compact formatThanks

to its compact size, this grand piano is very suitable for home use or in small theaters and halls. The grand piano has two beautiful grand piano sounds, the Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial. These acoustic grand pianos are for the 700 series again sampled, this time with (even) more microphones and the latest recording techniques making the sounds even better.

The sound as you experience it remains identical and spacious. So also on your headphones! This technique makes you less likely to get tired when playing with headphones. This CLP765 now also has binaural samples of the Bösendorfer grand piano....and this sounds really insane!

Play classical, acoustic piano

If you are going to play some older, classical music from e.g. 18th or 19th century, then you might want to use the corresponding sounds as well. Fortunately, Yamaha's CLP-765GP also has two insanely good sounding forte pianos on board. Listen e.g. to the 'Mozart piano', originally made by manufacturer Walter in the Viennese tradition (18th century).

The second forte piano is a 19th century Chopin piano, originally made by Pleyel in Paris. Also, of course, you can adjust the tuning of the piano; by default the piano is set to A=440 Hz, but you can adjust the tuning from 414.8 to 466.8 Hz. The sound of the CLP-765 is almost indistinguishable from an acoustic grand piano, partly due to the VRM (Virtual Resonance Modelling) and the latest acoustic techniques.

The VRM technology ensures that you not only hear the string and damper resonance, but that you also hear 'duplex scale' (more overtones). Also you hear for example the side noises that you normally make with an acoustic piano, which makes it extra realistic. The two amplifiers (in combination with the speakers) provide a beautiful, crystal clear sound. Through the Bluetooth and analog audio (aux-in) input you can easily connect your sound sources to this piano and listen to them through your grand piano.

Easy to operate and packed with featuresThe

operation of the Clavinova CLP765GP is via the touch sensor menu on the left side of the piano. The great thing is that the menu lights up when you use it, but will also switch off again after a few seconds so that you are not visually distracted. The 3-band equalizer allows you to create your own balance of bass, midrange and treble.

The piano has 20 rhythm tracks on board with which you can play along. The rhythm tracks have bass accompaniments that follow your chords. You can then record your piano playing using the extensive recording possibilities. Also a very nice feature is the combination of the grand piano with the SmartPianist App (link via Bleutooth).

The App has a huge database of play alongs, lessons and exercises and it is even possible to import songs from, for example, your iTunes playlist and play along with them. The app analyzes the song and indicates the tempo and even the chords! Another very handy feature of the app: play something on the piano and the app notes exactly what you play in notation! This allows for a lot of creativity and fun playing!

Are you looking for a professional digital grand piano? Then this is really a model you should try. If you have any questions about the CLP-765GP, we would be happy to answer them. You are welcome to visit our showroom!
