You might already know the Boss RC-505 mkII Loop Station tabletop looper effect pedal from its predecessors. Indeed, the RC505 has long been a standard in the industry of beatboxers, vocalists, the multi-instrumental and all other disciplines in which they use looping. The new version, the MKII builds on this legend with new tools for the on-the-go music maker.
The sound coming out of this unit is now even better thanks to the 32-bit sound engine. What we like about this device is that it has a large display and well-lit buttons. This makes it easy to work with the latest RC505.
Where this model has really improved over previous editions is the fader section, which provides better and finer volume control. You also have more storage space for recordings, you have two XLR inputs for microphones, a switchable phantom power supply and five simultaneous stereo tracks with independent controls and volume faders!
The BOSS RC505MKII is connectable via USB, MIDI and a variety of other audio inputs and outputs. But it doesn't stop there. What also makes this unit great are a whopping 99 memories, each with five phrase tracks, individual effects assignments stand-alone playback settings, control assignments, 200 built-in rhythm patterns, 16 drum kits and we could go on and on
