The Showtec DR Pro Rack is a DMX recorder.
Do you have multiple DMX light controls that you really only use to play pre-programmed chases or do you find that you can't store enough chases on your DMX light control? In either case, this DR Pro Rack DMX Recorder from Showtec is for you. This device can be connected to a DMX light controller and can record and store the incoming DMX signal. So when you play a chase on the light controller it will also be recorded on the recorder. A total of eight chases can be stored on this recorder. These can be called up using the buttons on the front of the unit or via DMX.
If you have several DMX light controllers that you only use to play pre-programmed chases, you can use recorders instead of the light controllers. That is usually a lot cheaper and also takes up less space. You only need one DMX light controller to put chases on the recorders. If you find that you can't store enough chases on your light controller, then this recorder gives you eight extra chases that you can call up using your light controller.
