JBL Array Series (Occasion)

This is a bi-amp system. This means that you need 3 power amplifiers to drive the speakers. By means of a system processor, the 3 power amplifiers can be properly crosspointed and EQ'd. From our own experience we have found that these settings work well as a basic starting point:

Make sure the subs have 6 dB more gain than the top cabinets - this balances the set better.

Crossover settings:
Subs: 40 - 98 Hz (@LR24 Filter)
Tops, Low-Mid: 60 - 1.2 KHz (@LR24 Filter)
Tops, High: 1.2 KHz - FR (@LR24 Filter)

Shelving EQ:
Subs: none
Tops, Low-Mid: Lowshelf, 6 dB, up to 164 Hz.
Tops, High: Highshelf, 6 dB, from 8 Khz

Parametric EQ:
Subs: none
Tops, Low-Mid: f=784 Hz, Gain=1.5 dB, Q=0.25
Tops, High: f=3.15 KHz, Gain=-6.5 dB, Q=0.4

Graphic EQ (on input):
f=630 Hz, Gain: - 2.5 dB
f=2 KHz, Gain: -2.5 dB
f=12Khz, Gain: + 2 dB

Delay:
Tops, Low-Mid: 0.34 ms
