This Genos has been traded in and is therefore a second hand, even though you wouldn't say so. This keyboard is in absolute new condition except for one small scratch on one of the white keys. It has always been in the previous owner's music room and has not been used for performances. It comes in the original box and the lectern has never been unwrapped. So basically a new one, for the price of a used one.

By now we all know the Genos, Yamaha's flagship keyboard. With its unmatched sample quality, advanced styles and professional-level connectivity, the Gewos sets the standard for songwriting and performance keyboards. With its large, bright 9" LCD color touchscreen, assignable knobs and faders with their own OLED parameter status displays for real-time feedback, and a silky smooth 76-note, aftertouch-enabled FSX keyboard, the Genos gives you complete control so you can instantly find and tweak the perfect sound or cobble together a great-sounding arrangement in any musical genre. And the sounds are indeed great.

A heavenly sound

Yamaha's CFX and C7 concert grand pianos are stunning for their lifelike realism. Recorded in world-class studios. The drums use unprecedented multidynamic sample layers and round-robin wave cycling to deliver the most breathtakingly realistic MIDI drums ever offered in a keyboard. The various instruments are superbly reproduced by Yamaha's acclaimed Super Articulation 2 sound engine. All sounds benefit from multiple state-of-the-art effects engines. Complemented by extensive onboard MIDI and audio recording facilities and seamless DAW integration, the Yamaha Genos is the only keyboard you need to bring an important performance to fruition.

Authentic ensemble performances

The Ensemble Voices feature re-creates string, brass and wind ensembles by intuitively setting the instruments in their proper ranges for authentic-sounding ensemble performances. Previously, a Voice such as Brass Quartet used a sample of four players. However, if you played two notes, you suddenly had eight players - which can be cool, but may not be entirely realistic. In the Genos, with Ensemble Voices, you always have the same number of players, because Yamaha has incorporated into this instrument the musical knowledge of a professional music arranger. Play two notes with a Brass Quartet Ensemble Voice, and Genos intelligently directs the trumpets to the highest notes and the trombones to the lower notes. We love that!

Enhanced DSP for studio-quality effects

Yamaha designed the Genos with enhanced DSP for a feast of studio-quality effects that sound simply stunning. Included are lifelike models of coveted vintage rack and stompboxes, as well as classic guitar and bass amps - all of which take full advantage of the stunning 9" TFT color LCD touchscreen with intuitive, high-definition displays that mimic the real devices. These great-sounding effects include Yamaha's VCM (Virtual Circuit Modeling) - the same technology used by studio-grade processing on the company's high-end digital consoles.

Handles huge arrangements with ease

When it's time to record vocals, plug your condenser microphone into the XLR jack on the rear panel, switch on 48V phantom power, and you're ready to work with a studio-grade signal chain whose quality is unprecedented for a keyboard. As you layer your compositions, the Genos will amaze you with its ability to handle huge, lavish arrangements with balance and panache. A generous polyphony of 256 voices ensures that no notes are stolen. And with instant access to 1,652 instrument presets and 58 drum kits, you'll never run out of killer sounds. For quick access to your favorite configurations, Registration Memories provide an efficient way to store and recall panel settings such as Voice, Song, Pattern and Style.
