The Arturia AudioFuse Rev 2 audio interface has received a major upgrade! The dynamic range has been increased to 131.5 dB and the DiscretePro preamps have been hid. The interface -despite its compact size- has quite a few connections: two microphone and instrument inputs, four analog outputs, ADAT, S/PDIF, two RIAA phono preamps, word clock i/o, MIDI i/o and even a USB hub with three inputs to connect dongles, controllers and hard disks.
The Audiofuse is also useful for guitarists, because the interface is equipped with a so-called re-amping function. Record your guitar cleanly and then re-amp the DI signal through your favorite amp. Arturia includes a nice software bundle: the AudioFuse Creative Suite. This consists of some favorites from the "You'll Actually Use" series along with Analog Lab.
Handy is the central rotary knob that controls multiple functions, such as talkback function, input gain etc. Want to switch between two monitor pairs? press the knob. More volume in one of the headphones? No problem, as each output has its own volume control.
