Koa is a beautiful wood that is usually used exclusively for expensive, hi-end guitars. It is a hardwood that sounds very similar to rosewood and has an exotic and luxurious appearance. The 000-12E Koa has that look, but not the price! This guitar has a solid spruce top and the back and side are solid mahogany with a Koa veneer finish. The fretboard and bridge are made of Richlite (composite).
The 000 model is a great choice for the fingerstyle player. Whether you play sweet songs or traditional bluegrass, its specific character comes from the combination of the relatively small body and the relatively short scale (24.9"). This makes the guitar sound very "boxy" and sensitive to dynamic playing.
The 000-12E is equipped with a Fishman MX-T pickup with a tuner built into the soundhole, ready for any application in the studio, stage or where ever you musical journey will take you!
