The FPGA-based DSP mixer adds a versatile, 3-band parametric EQ for all inputs and outputs. The DSP also features a reverb and delay effect processor. So you can create a zero-latency monitor mix for a singer and instantly mix in some onboard reverb.
As we have come to expect from RME, super-stable drivers have been developed for the Babyface Pro FS, and the A/D & D/A converters (192 kHz) are super-low latency (SteadyClock FS technology).
Babyface Pro FS comes with RME's TotalMix FX, for both Windows, Mac OS X and iOS (iPad only - this is a separate, paid download).
The Babyface Pro FS features the SteadyClock FS circuit, also found in the ADI-2 Pro FS. This ensures the lowest 'jitter' possible! Also, the output power of the headphone output has been increased from 70 mW to 90 mW and the op-amps are also copied from the ADI-2 Pro FS. The latency has been reduced by 6 samples and the signal-to-noise ratio has been improved compared to the previous Babyface Pro. All improvements have been made without increasing the total power consumption.
