SSL SSL 2+

The SSL 2+ is a USB audio interface from Solid State Logic. The interface features the famous 4K sound that emulates (for a warm, analog edge) the Legacy 4K console (SSL 4000 series) sound, so to speak. This characteristic, subtle harmonic distortion also provides a fine, high frequency boost to give a little more "air" to the recording.

The SSL 2+ features two super-clean microphone preamps with a whopping 62 dB of gain! So you can plug in any kind of microphone because this interface gives plenty of preamp gain, thanks to the discrete 'low-noise' transistors combined with an SSL integrated circuit. The SSL2 plus is powered by USB from your laptop or desktop computer. So even from your home studio or when you're on the road, you now have the same high-quality audio components in your interface as in SSL's full-size consoles, including rock-solid Neutrik XLR and jack connectors and Alps potentiometers. The SSL has professional AKM converters.

Software:
The SSL2+ interface comes with SSL's Native Vocalstrip 2 and Drumstrip plug-ins (and a test version of the full suite). In this "trail" plug-ins from the suite you can try 6 months for free. Also included is Native Instruments Hybris Keys and Komplete Start; a sample library consisting of 2000 sounds, including drums and percussion, bass, acoustic instruments, synths, pads and atmospheric effects and more. You'll also find Avid Pro Tools | First, with 23 plug-ins, Ableton Live Lite and 1.5 gigabytes of samples from Loopcloud in the included software bundle. In short, lots of software so you can get started right away!
