The Yamaha URX44V B (Black) is the most comprehensive model within the URX series, combining high-quality audio recording with integrated video functionality. This USB-C audio and video interface is designed for creators working with music production, livestreams, podcasts and video content, looking to tightly combine audio and video in one central unit. With four URX microphone preamps, 32-bit/192kHz audio resolution, HDMI In and Thru as well as an intuitive touchscreen, the URX44V offers a complete and uncluttered workflow.
Capture every detail
The URX44V is designed to accurately capture nuance and dynamics. The URX microphone preamps deliver up to 78 dB of low-distortion gain and are suitable for a variety of microphones and instruments. The main outputs feature a dynamic range of up to 125 dB, ensuring a clean, open and controlled sound when monitoring and eavesdropping. Internal AD/DA converters with 32-bit/192kHz specifications guarantee high detail, low noise floor and wide dynamic range in both recording and playback.
Audio and video connections for complete productions
In addition to the four XLR/jack combo inputs, the URX44V features dual Main/Sub USB-C ports, allowing audio to be sent simultaneously to multiple systems. Two headphone outputs, a separate headset jack and an AUX input make it easy to add additional audio sources. Unique within the series is the HDMI In and HDMI Thru, which allows video signals from a camera or game console, for example, to be directly looped through and captured, while keeping audio and video neatly separated and synchronized. In addition, it is possible to record up to 16 audio tracks directly to a microSD card.

Smooth and intuitive operation
The URX44V's controls revolve around a bright touchscreen that provides instant access to settings, DSP mixing and effects. Four freely adjustable rotary knobs and the Touch & Turn encoder let you adjust parameters quickly and precisely. The built-in DSP offers Gate, Compressor, EQ, Reverb, Amp simulations and a Voice Changer, among others. Features like Smart Gain, Clip Safe and Total FX - including Ducker and Multi-Band Compressor - help keep levels under control and your mix uncluttered. Scene Recall and Simple Mode allow for quick switching between different setups.
Seamless integration with software and controllers
The URX44V connects to a wide ecosystem of production software and compatible controllers. Combined with solutions from Elgato, OBS Studio and others, it creates a stable workflow for recording, streaming and content creation, where audio, video and control come together logically.
Inputs, AUX, HDMI and USB recording
The Yamaha URX44V functions as a 4-in / 4-out USB audio interface toward computer or DAW. The four XLR/jack combo inputs on the rear are fixed, independent recording channels and appear as separate inputs in the DAW. These inputs are for microphones, instruments and line signals that you want to record and post-process separately.
In addition to these inputs, the URX44V has additional physical connections, including an AUX input (3.5 mm), a headset microphone jack and an HDMI input for audio and video. These jacks function as internal audio sources and are managed through the built-in DSP mixer.
In the DSP mixer, you determine:
- which physical sources are audible
- how these sources are mixed
- whether they are sent to the DAW
AUX, headset and HDMI audio can be recorded, but not as separate DAW channels. These signals are processed internally and sent to the computer as a stereo audio source. HDMI audio is hereby automatically converted to stereo and added to the mixer. This makes these connections suitable for adding external audio, such as a smartphone, tablet, camera or game console, but not intended as additional separate recording channels in addition to the four XLR/jack inputs.
Please note that HDMI audio with HDCP protection cannot be transmitted or recorded via USB.

Yamaha URX Serie
Discover the Yamaha URX series of audio interfaces in this video.
A clear step above entry-level models, the URX series offers high sound quality, flexible inputs and outputs, intuitive operation and built-in DSP. Thanks to its extensive features, the series fits perfectly into modern production workflows, with within the line also a model that can process audio and video signals in an integrated fashion.
