Neumann MT 48 U

The Neumann MT 48 U is a USB-C audio interface for professional studio applications. The MT48 features two top-quality mic/line preamps, top-class AD/DA, and enough I/O for a wide range of applications for professional sound quality and easy studio integration. The interface gives you advanced onboard DSP effects with flexible routing, plus an easy-to-read touchscreen for intuitive operation. The Neumann name is legendary in the studio world, and the MT-48 gives you everything you would expect from an audio interface in this class.

This MT 48 is the only interface optimized for the famous Neumann studio microphones and their excellent KH series studio monitors and NDH series headphones.

Reference-class sound quality
The MT 48 is the first interface in its class that can record the full dynamic range of professional microphones and is specially optimized for the KH series studio monitors and NDH series headphones. To develop the MT 48, Neumann joined forces with Switzerland's Merging Technologies. The high-precision AD converters of this USB-C audio interface deliver a stunning dynamic range of 136dB, and the low-noise microphone preamps deliver up to 78dB of gain. Crystal-clear analog circuits, state-of-the-art AD/DA, outstanding onboard headphone amplifiers - the MT 48 sets a new standard for desktop audio interfaces.

More than enough I/O for any application
No matter what type of project you're working on, the Neumann MT 48 can handle it. Its two mic/line pre-amps provide enough power to handle any microphone with lots of gain, and its two line/instrument inputs deliver true reference-quality sound. You also get four analog outputs for studio monitors and connecting external equipment, plus two excellent-sounding headphone outputs. Need more I/O? No problem. The MT 48 supports ADAT, S/PDIF and AES67 digital extension. Of course, the interface has MIDI I/O on board.

Built-in DSP and intuitive touchscreen controls
The MT 48 features built-in DSP, with fully parametric 4-band EQ, a dynamic processor for each channel and studio-quality reverb. You can control four separate monitor mixes - with effects - directly via the intuitive touchscreen. The MT 48 can also be called an equipped digital mixing console. Thanks to the powerful DSP, the MT 48 features advanced EQ and dynamics processing in each channel. In addition, the reverb function ensures fine monitor mixes. Unique is the function with which the MT 48 allows Pre-FX and Post-FX recording - simultaneously! This has been dubbed Dual Output Technology.

Monitor Mission
The Monitor Mission turns the MT 48 into a fully configurable monitoring controller and multi-channel audio interface. In addition to mono and stereo, the Monitor Mission is also capable of surround formats such as 5.1 and the most requested immersive audio formats, such as Dolby Atmos 7.1.4.

This version is the Neumann MT 48 U (Universal). The region-specific EU and US versions are no longer available and have been replaced by this MT 48 U (Universal), which is sold in all regions. The MT 48 U comes with a universal power supply. This means that the region-specific versions MT 48 EU (700190) and MT 48 US (700259) have been phased out. These two versions will of course continue to be supported and maintained! Technically there are no differences (only the power supply).
