The Yamaha URX44 B (Black) is a comprehensive 4-in/4-out USB-C audio interface designed for modern music production, streaming and podcasting. Within the URX series, the URX44 positions itself as an audio-only model with additional inputs and outputs compared to the URX22. With four URX microphone preamps, 32-bit/192kHz resolution and high-quality AD/DA converters, this interface offers a high level of detail, control and flexibility. The integrated touchscreen provides instant access to settings, DSP mixing and effects, allowing you to switch gears quickly and work efficiently.
Capture every detail
The URX44B accurately captures nuances and dynamics from the moment you plug in. The URX preamps deliver up to 78 dB of low-distortion gain and accommodate a variety of microphone types. The main outputs feature a dynamic range of up to 125 dB. Internally, high-quality AD/DA converters with 32-bit/192kHz specifications ensure low noise floor, wide dynamic range and faithful reproduction of the original signal.
Connections for every project
The URX44 is designed for a variety of productions. The dual Main/Sub USB-C ports allow audio to be sent simultaneously to multiple systems. In addition, the interface features two headphone outputs, a separate headset jack with two jacks and an AUX input for external audio sources. Compared to the URX22, the URX44 offers additional inputs and outputs as well as the ability to record up to 16 tracks directly to a microSD card.

Smooth and intuitive operation
The controls are fully touchscreen-driven and focused on real-time creativity. The touch LCD gives instant access to settings, DSP mixing and effects. Four freely adjustable rotary knobs and the Touch & Turn encoder make precise adjustments easy. The built-in DSP offers Gate, Compressor, EQ, Reverb, Amp simulations and a Voice Changer, among others. Features such as Smart Gain, Clip Safe and Total FX - including Ducker and Multi-Band Compressor - help keep levels controlled and consistent. Scene Recall and Simple Mode ensure an uncluttered and streamlined workflow.
Seamless Software Integration
The URX44 connects to a growing ecosystem of production software and compatible controllers. Combined with tools from collaboration partners such as Elgato and OBS Studio, it creates a stable and efficient workflow for recording, streaming and content creation, where audio and controls work seamlessly together.
Inputs, AUX and USB recording
The Yamaha URX44 functions as a 4-in / 4-out USB audio interface towards computer or DAW. The four XLR/jack combo inputs on the rear are fixed, independent recording channels and appear as separate inputs in the DAW. These inputs are intended for microphones, instruments and line signals that you want to record and post-process separately.
In addition to these inputs, the URX44 has additional physical connections, such as an AUX input (3.5 mm) and a headset microphone jack. These jacks function as internal audio sources and are managed through the built-in DSP mixer.
In the DSP mixer, you determine:
- which physical sources are audible
- how these sources are mixed
- whether they are sent to the DAW
The AUX and headset inputs can be recorded, but not as separate DAW channels. They are mixed internally and sent to the computer as one audio source. This makes them suitable for adding external audio, such as a smartphone or tablet, but not intended as additional separate recording channels in addition to the four XLR/jack inputs.

Yamaha URX Serie
Discover the Yamaha URX series of audio interfaces in this video.
A clear step above entry-level models, the URX series offers high sound quality, flexible inputs and outputs, intuitive operation and built-in DSP. Thanks to its extensive features, the series fits perfectly into modern production workflows, with within the line also a model that can process audio and video signals in an integrated fashion.
