Spector NS Dimension 4 Haunted Moss Matte

It is admirable how Spector is able to cover across a wide range of genres and price ranges with a single model -the NS bass. This NS Dimension is a perfect example of this with a brilliant foray into a multiscale variant of the NS that will especially delight the heavy player!

The NS Dimension series basses are built in South Korea according to meticulous guidelines, instructions and commissioned by Spector USA. And make no mistake; this is a true "working-man's boutique guitar", built with premium materials and hi-end specifications.
For starters, this Dimension bass has the iconic Spector curved body with a neck-thru construction. With it, the body has a center-piece of three parts maple and two parts wenge to reinforce the neck. The curved wings of the body are made of lightweight swamp ash (which is becoming increasingly rare!) and are finished with a beautiful, heavy-figured poplar burl top. The neck features a wenge fingerboard with luminlay side dots and the headstock is matching the poplar burl body. Not only beautiful (especially in this Haunted Moss Matte finish!), but above all, an great recipe for a bass that needs to perform in heavy music; everything is configured for an aggressive but above all rich and defined tone. Exactly what you want when you play a lot of notes, fast, low and/or with distortion.

And of course the multiscale plays an important role in that. With a scale ranging from 34" to 36" you have an optimal string tension for the best definition and rich overtones.
For the ultimate icing on the cake, Spector chose Fishman Fluence pickups with accompanying pre-amp for the Dimension bass. The controls operate master volume, pickup blend, bass boost/cut, treble boost/cut and 3-way voice.
