"Slow, Loud, and Bangin'" is what the name stands for - but don't let that first word fool you. This controller is built to handle any beat effortlessly: from "perfectly imperfect" laid-back grooves to lightning-fast fingerstrumming that would make your favorite producers jealous. With extensive pre-programmed functions, smart transport controls and a Serato-optimized Focus Control, the SLAB takes any DAW workflow to the next level. Its 16 LED pads, touch-sensitive encoders, bright OLED display and long-stroke touch strip provide instant creative control.

AlphaTheta and Serato have worked closely together for years, resulting in innovative workflows for DJs, producers and live performers. The SLAB builds on this, combining classic beat-pad controls with thoughtful performance tools for Serato Studio, but functions just as well in general MIDI mode. Thus it works optimally with Serato Sample, Serato Studio, Serato DJ Pro as well as virtually any other DAW.

The multifunctional performance pads feature multi-color LED backlighting that immediately shows you which mode you are working in: Trigger, Piano, Deck or Scene. You'll also find handy tools like Note Repeat, Octave and Scene size settings, Encoder Mode and Strip Mode. The latter lets you use the touch-sensitive expression strip to musically bring effects and parameters to life, including bright LED feedback.

Samples, Stems Level and More

The SLAB combines focus with flexibility. A thoughtful interface and OLED display let you work deep without getting lost in menus. Chopping, arranging and editing samples is fast and clear - whether you're working in Serato Sample, expanding a DJ arrangement or producing in another DAW.

The controller is also optimized for Serato Studio's Stems Level technology. The four encoders allow you to individually control the levels of vocals, melodies, drums and bass. Ideal for live performance, improvisation, studio workflows and modern DJ sets. Expression and creative freedom take center stage.
