You can use the vocoder in two ways: Self Vocoder directly processes the synth's internal sounds and lets you create impressive effects without an external source already. Ext Vocoder allows you to transform your voice or external audio via the microphone input based on the sound content of your MiniFreak patches. This makes this synth perfect for both singers and producers looking for new soundscapes.

Each vocoder FX contains four different subtypes:

• Clean: clear, modern vocoder sounds with high intelligibility
• Vintage: inspired by classic vocoders from the 70s and 80s
• Narrow: pronounced, resonant sounds for sound design
• Gated: rhythmic effects with plucky and percussive textures

You have full control over parameters such as Formant Shift, Spectrum Width, Decay and Dry/Wet mix. That means you can completely shape each effect to your own taste. In addition, this edition includes 12 new vocoder presets, six of which use the external microphone input and six of which can be used directly with the synth via the Self Vocoder. These presets range from typical robot voices to laser-like resonances and warm vocoder pads.
