The OCP8 Pop Filter is a filter that filters out, among other things, the 'P' and 'F' sounds. In effect, a pop filter reduces or eliminates so-called 'popping' sounds caused by the mechanical impact of fast moving air on the microphone during speech and singing.
It can also protect against the accumulation of saliva on the microphone element. The salts in human saliva are corrosive and so using a pop filter can extend the life of the microphone! This pop filter features a nice Austrian Audio logo; so a nice addition to your OC18 or OC818 studio microphone!
