Base 4 Stands Arm 24" - Natural

The Base4Stands 24-inch Add-on Arm (Natural) is a long extension arm for the modular Base4Stands system. This arm is recommended by Base4Stands for the Big Tree and Solo models and provides an additional 61 cm of reach for microphones positioned around drums, piano, percussion, horns, vocals, and strings. Which arm length works best depends, among other things, on the position of the stand relative to the sound source.

Extra reach from a single stand
With a length of 24 inches, this Add-on Arm provides extra reach when a microphone needs to be placed farther from the vertical riser. You can create an additional microphone position without placing a new stand on the floor. This makes the arm ideal for larger recording setups where floor space, reach, and a clutter-free workspace are important.

Use with the Base4Stands Solo
On the Base4Stands Solo, you can mount the 24-inch arm close to the top of the riser. This allows you to create a second microphone position for percussion, wind instruments, vocal groups, or strings. The longer arm is also suitable for wide stereo setups at a piano, where you want to place two microphones farther apart.

Ideal as an extension of the Big Tree
The 24-inch Add-on Arm really shines on the Base4Stands Big Tree. If you place the Big Tree on the floor tom side of a drum kit, you can attach the arm to the vertical riser to reach, for example, the kick drum, rack tom, or floor tom. This allows you to add an extra microphone to your drum setup without placing another separate stand between the drums.

Suitable for spaced-pair stereo setups
You can also attach the 24-inch arm to the primary, upper arm of the Big Tree. This provides extra reach for a spaced-pair stereo setup. If you add a second microphone mount, the arm can be used as a stereo bar with a fixed width. With a pair of Stub Mounts, you can adjust the position of the microphones along the arm.

The power of Base4Stands lies in the ability to use a single stand for multiple microphone positions. With add-on arms, you can further expand the Solo or Big Tree around the recording source. In many situations, an extra arm can replace a conventional microphone stand, freeing up more space on the studio floor.
