Meet the Larva Morphing Phaser, an innovative 6-stage analog phaser that combines classic warmth with modern capabilities. In addition to a rich phaser and vibe section, the Larva features a high-quality built-in preamp and unique morphing functionality that lets you fluidly switch between two completely independent phaser settings.
Use the Larva as a traditional analog phaser, set two different phaser presets or create dynamic transitions between the two for expressive soundscapes and moving modulation effects. The fully analog 6-stage phaser delivers a warm, organic sound, while features such as tap tempo, morphing presets and comprehensive expression controls provide maximum flexibility on stage and in the studio.
Inspired by the legendary Moogerfooger series, the built-in preamp enhances the character of both phaser and vibe sounds. From subtle warmth to powerful lead tones, the preamp sounds so good that it can also be used independently.
At the center are the unique Ramp LEDs, which visually display the movement of expression and morphing effects. Set the speed (Rate) and intensity (Depth) separately for both phaser sections, determine the shape of the transition and control how fast the morphing goes. Pressing the Ramp footswitch creates smooth, expressive modulation movements that are in constant motion.
For users who like to dive deep into the possibilities, the Larva offers several hidden settings:
- Ramp Speed Offset: shifts the center point of the LFO for additional control over modulation.
- Rate 2 Subdivision: allows the second phaser speed to function as a subdivision of the first, ideal for synchronized modulations and rhythmic effects.
- Both settings are automatically saved even after the power is turned off.
- The pedal also remembers the last used bypass state and restarts in the same mode.
With its combination of analog sound quality, creative morphing capabilities and extensive control options, the Beetronics Larva is an exceptional modulation pedal for guitarists, bassists, keyboardists and sound designers who want to go beyond a traditional phaser.
The pedal runs on a standard 9V DC power supply (not included) and has a power consumption of approximately 100 mA.
