Boss MD-2

The BOSS MD-2 delivers extreme distortion for extreme music. With BOSS' other pedals, the distortion is mainly focused on the mids. To respond to new, heavier, music trends, BOSS introduces the MD-2 with a straightforward and heavy distortion of the bass.

With this you can, for example, create the typical 80's heavy metal sound but also a New Metal sound. The MD-2 consists of three different distortion circuits including the new discrete circuit. By combining these circuits, the MD-2 is able to bring very heavy distortion sound

The MD-2 uses a 3-stage distortion circuit for ultra-heavy bass, perfect for a 7-string guitar for example. GAIN BOOST allows you to boost your signal and get a smooth sustain with punchy distortion. With BOTTOM the bass is distorted extra heavy which is typical for the New Metal genre.
