The BOSS SD-1 is the legendary 1981 Super Overdrive pedal with one of the most important gain sounds for several generations of guitarists in every genre. Its iconic sound remains one of the richest, smoothest and most musical overdrive sounds.

Thanks to its unique assymmetrical clipping circuit, the SD-1 produces lamp-like overdrive characteristics. The gain level is subtle and this makes the pedal particularly suitable for blues and classic rock.

But you can also produce a lot of gain with the SD-1, especially as a clean boost the pedal is excellent to use. Put the SD-1 in front of an overdriven amp, turn up the level and almost close the drive for a tight sounding overdriven amp with enough gain for even the most metal players among us.
