The VO-1 Vocoder is a unique and innovative pedal that puts the expressive range of the human voice at the fingertips of every guitarist and bassist. Wait a minute, a Vocoder for guitarists? Yep, you read that right! Boss is now making vocoder technology, used primarily by synth users, to the guitar!

By talking or singing into a connected microphone while playing guitar, it's easy to transform your voice into electronic sounds, classic talkbox sounds and tons of new timbres that fit perfectly into modern music styles.

It's even possible to create impressive vocal ensembles without having to connect an external microphone. When you plug into the VO-1, you can literally talk, sing and cry with your guitar; allowing musicians to explore sounds they never dreamed of before.
