Designed in collaboration with Pete Thorn, the Single Channel Carl Martin PlexiTone is housed in a compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure with three knobs and one switch. Apart from Pete's subtle tweaks, which provide tighter lows and slightly softer highs, this pedal has exactly the same gain structure as the High Gain mode of the original Pro-Series PlexiTone.
The difference is mainly in versatility: this pedal simply works better with a variety of amps.

The Single Plexi also features the new DC-DC converter technology. This allows the pedal to be powered by a stabilized 9V supply, while still operating internally at the same ±12V level as the original AC-powered PlexiTone. This allows the same high-quality components to be used, resulting in identical sound quality and headroom that make the CM Pro-Series so distinctive.
