Cornerstone Nucleo Ambient Reverb is Paul Davids' signature reverb pedal, inspired by the impressive reverb of a nuclear power plant.
The idea for the Nucleo came about after Paul Davids visited a nuclear power plant, where he became fascinated by the unique acoustics and reflections of the space. At the same time, Emilio Mazari, founder of Cornerstone, was working on a new concept for ambient reverb. When he saw Paul's video focusing on the sounds of the power plant, he contacted him with a special proposal: a signature pedal based on that experience.
The result is the Nucleo - an ambient reverb with three presets: Room, Hall and The Reactor. You set the intensity of the reverb with the Blend knob. In addition, there are three sliders:
Mod controls the speed of modulation,
Air adds a shimmer-like sheen,
Flux introduces random, reactor-type sounds that give the whole an organic character.
The right foot pedal lets you freeze the signal so you can play live soundscapes over it. The Latch function enables smooth transitions between chords. In addition, there are three rotary control knobs for Decay, Tone (timbre of the reverb), and Pitch (pitch of the frozen signal). Each of these knobs also controls a secondary parameter for more depth.
The Nucleo is fully MIDI-compatible and features stereo inputs and outputs. It runs on a standard 9V adapter (not included).
