The Cort CM150B MKII is a bass guitar amplifier combo with 150 watts RMS of power and a 30.5 cm speaker. This successor to the CM150B retains the same output power and extensive connectivity options, but adds Room and Scoop controls and a Speaker Mute switch. Thanks to its redesigned plywood cabinet, the amplifier now weighs just 11.5 kg: over 30% less than its predecessor.

150 watts for rehearsals and performances
The amplifier delivers 150 watts RMS to the built-in speaker. This gives the CM150B MKII ample power for rehearsals, recordings, and performances on small to medium-sized stages. The master volume controls the final output level, while the gain control is used to match the input signal from your bass guitar. The 12-inch speaker has an impedance of 4 ohms and can handle a maximum power of 200 watts. This combination delivers a solid low-end response, a clear attack, and plenty of headroom at higher volumes.

Four-band equalizer with two midrange controls
The four-band equalizer lets you adjust the bass, low mids, high mids, and treble separately. The separate Low Mid and High Mid controls give you more control over the midrange. This allows you to emphasize the bass in a band mix, reduce unwanted frequencies, or bring the attack more clearly to the forefront. The Bright switch adds extra definition to the highs. This can be useful for slap techniques, bright active basses, or when you want more attack in the sound.

Room and Scoop Controls
The new Room control functions as a tilt EQ and adjusts the balance between low and high frequencies. This allows you to quickly adapt the amplifier to the room’s acoustics, your instrument, or your desired tone. The Scoop control reduces the midrange. This produces a wider bass sound with more emphasis on the low and high frequencies. Both controls allow for quick tone adjustments without having to reset the four-band equalizer.

Clean and Gain Modes
Use the Mode switch to choose between a bright Clean mode and a Gain mode with more saturation. In Gain mode, the gain control determines how much overdrive is added to the preamp signal. This allows the CM150B MKII to produce not only clean bass tones but also slightly overdriven and heavier sounds.

Speaker Mute for Quiet Use
The Speaker Mute switch turns off the built-in speaker. This is useful when you want to tune quietly on stage or practice at home with headphones. You don’t need to turn off the amplifier or disconnect any cables to do this.

Connections for Stage, Studio, and Home
The balanced XLR line output lets you connect the CM150B MKII directly to a mixing console, audio interface, or PA system. The Ground Lift switch helps reduce hum caused by a ground loop. The effects loop consists of separate Send and Return jacks. This allows you to place effects such as chorus, delay, reverb, or an external equalizer after the preamp. The Aux input is suitable for playing music or backing tracks. A headphone output is provided for silent practice.

Over 30% lighter than the CM150B
The plywood speaker cabinet has been redesigned to reduce weight without compromising power. The original CM150B weighed 17 kg, while the CM150B MKII weighs 11.5 kg. With dimensions of 44 x 44 x 36 cm, the combo remains compact and is easier to transport to rehearsals and gigs.
