Crazy Tube Circuits Unobtanium RAW

Meet the new Unobtanium RAW edition!

The basics have remained the same as the standard version. On the right side you'll find an accurate reproduction of the Klon-style overdrive. On the left side are two Dumble-style amp sounds, known as the most unattainable tube amps in the world. For the RAW edition, Crazy Tube Circuits added something special to the K-side: hand-selected NOS Mullard/Valvo OC45 germanium transistors from the 1960s. These transistors give a supernatural feel with organic compression for more gain and sustain. No worries: the standard sounds are still present in the basic setting and still feature germanium diodes clipping as in the original unit.

The amp-in-a-box side of the RAW version is brighter and more powerful than the standard version. Think singing blues rock and classic rock sounds that cut through the mix. This side performs perfectly with all sorts of different guitar and pickup combinations. Like the standard version, the Unobtanium RAW has a passive effects loop. This allows you to connect your favorite pedals between your booster/overdrive and amp-in-one pedal. You can also use the two sections separately as independent effects with an external bypass switcher/looper. Note that all pedals in the passive effects loop are still in the signal chain when either section is in bypass mode. The Unobtanium RAW has a power-up bypass/engage preset function for the footswitches. This allows you to set what state your pedal goes into when you plug in the power supply. This feature is especially useful for people who use remote pedal switchers/loopers. They only need to set the state of the pedal once and can then control from the controller.

• Controls: gain, emphasis, tone, volume, toggle switch for amp voicing.
• Gain control: from clean boost to raw ripping overdrive.
• Emphasis is a pre-drive EQ to control presence and bass.
• Tone controls the amount of high frequencies after overdrive.
• Volume knob sets overall output. Match the bypass volume or use as a clean boost or preamp.
• Toggle switch selects between two different overdrive circuits, inspired by Steel String Singer and Overdrive Special Dumble amps.
• SSS: "clean" overdrive with natural, organic compression.
• ODS: higher gain overdrive with enhanced mid frequencies and booming harmonic overtones.
• Left LED changes color to half red when ODS voicing is selected.
• External footswitch input to switch between amp voicings.
• External footswitch (XT) is offered as an additional accessory (not included).
• Internal trimmers control EQ and volume boost of overdrive voicings.
