D'Addario Pro-Arte Nylon Core strings are known for their full sound, precise intonation and excellent projection. The bright disc strings are carefully selected with a computer-controlled laser machine, so you are always assured of optimal playing and sound quality. The basses are made of silver-plated copper wire wrapped around a multifilament nylon core, providing a warm tone with powerful projection.

Behind every set of D'Addario strings is over three centuries of experience and tradition. The story begins in 1680 in the Italian village of Salle, where the D'Addario family manufactured strings for various instruments for generations. In 1905, the family moved to New York and laid the foundation for the modern string industry. D'Addario was at the forefront of innovation: they designed the winding machine that is still the standard among many string manufacturers today.
