D'addario is the right choice if you are looking for a clear "brightness" and when prefer a powerful string tension. With the hexagonal carbon steel core drawn with exceptional precision, the nickel-plated windings have a good grip resulting in a string that intonates well and stays in tune. With its distinctive brightness, D'addario strings sound like new for a relatively long time.
This "regular light" set contains the following gauges: 010-013-017-026-036-046. EXL110's are suitable for all types of electric guitars and we recommend using this thickness in regular E tuning, half step down (Eb) or Drop-D tunings. The six strings are easily distinguished by the iconic color code used by D'addario
