Developed for 6-string bass guitars, D'Addario XTB32130 XT Nickel bass strings combine long range with long life. This Regular Light longscale set with thicknesses .032 - .045 - .065 - .080 - .100 - .130 offers balanced tension from high C to low B. You benefit from clear definition in the highs and a tight, controlled low.

The ultra-thin XT nanocoating protects each string from moisture, dirt and corrosion. The coating is barely noticeable and does not affect the sound. The playing feel matches that of a traditional nickelwound string, while the strings last up to three times longer than standard uncoated bass strings. Ideal for bassists who play a lot and want to change less often. The core consists of high carbon NY steel. This material delivers high tensile strength and elasticity. Compared to conventional bass strings, XT strings are up to 42% stronger and stay in tune up to 131% better. Thanks to Fusion Twist technology at the bale end, the strings remain stable in tune and are less likely to break, even with heavy use or firm touch.

The nickel plated steel winding has improved magnetic properties. This provides higher output and a wider dynamic range. The sound is clear, with controlled warmth and clear string separation across all six strings. D'Addario draws the steel wire in-house, then applies the coating and then winds the string. This manufacturing process ensures even protection along the full length of the string. Other manufacturers apply the coating only after the string is fully fabricated. This set has a taper at 36 7/8 inches for optimal fit on many longscale 6-string bass guitars and good intonation on bridges with string-through or standard top-load mounting.

The XTB32130 comes in resealable and recyclable VCI packaging with unique code for registration within D'Addario's Players Circle program. Production takes place in the New York factory to strict quality standards.
