The DigiTech FreqOut Natural Feedback Creator allows you to create warm, natural feedback at any volume, with or without distortion. This effects pedal is ideal for situations where the sound level needs to be kept low, such as in the studio, when using in-ear monitors, or during low-volume rehearsals and performances. It’s especially useful if you’re using a modeler or in-ear monitors that don’t produce feedback on their own.
In addition, the FreqOut also shines at stage volume. Instead of uncontrolled feedback, you can generate feedback specifically on a chosen harmonic tone, regardless of where you are on stage. Thanks to its power supply via a standard 9V DC adapter, the FreqOut integrates easily into virtually any existing pedalboard setup.

- LED ladder: The central LEDs light up from the inside out to indicate how quickly the feedback builds
- Chain recommendation: For best tracking, place the pedal at the very front of your effects chain (before distortion or compression).
Controls:
- Gain: Controls the amount and balance of the feedback signal relative to your dry guitar tone
- Onset: Controls the "rise time" (how long it takes for the feedback to fully build up after you strike a note)
- Momentary switch: ON: The feedback is active only as long as you hold down the footswitch (perfect for short accents)
- OFF: The footswitch functions as a traditional on/off switch (latching)
- Dry switch: This allows you to turn the original (dry) guitar signal on or off. You will then hear only the feedback, creating a synth- or EBow-like effect.
