Regardless how you feel about Johnny Depp as an official Duesenberg artist, this guitar is just rad.
Pretty much, this Alliance model is a one-pickup Caribou, but with a chambered alder body, Duesenberg Tremola Deluxe and just a single pickup; Duesenberg came up with something realy special; it is a classic single coil with a coil tap switch (little slide switch located next to the volume knob) that adds 1963 windings (1963 is Johnny Depp's year of birth). One volume control, no tone. The black body is finished with a laser etched aluminium pickguard that shows images of mr Depp's tatoos.
If we would had to describe the sound of this one, you'd have to think of the twangy, aggressive tone of an Esquire mixed with the rich, creamy sound of an LP Junior. It's super straight forward and a true rock 'n roll machine, with loads of classic tone.
