The Paloma came and conquered from the first moment Duesenberg first launched this model. Immediately it became one of the most popular models of the Duesenberg lineup. A highly versatile offset solid body, HSS pickup configuration including Deluxe Tremola...that brilliant, quirky nod to a Strat was perhaps the missing link in the collection. The comfortably contoured body is made of alder, the neck of maple and has a rosewood fingerboard.

The elements are Duesenberg's Grandvintage humbucker, Pearlito single coil and Alnico Blade single coil. And the choice of a standard HSS configuration is quite daring, since HSS combinations tend to be unbalanced; in many cases it is difficult to match the output of the single coil with that of the humbucker without sacrificing tone in either. With the Paloma, however, the good, even balance of the elements really stands out. Once again, Duesenberg has managed to improve a well-known feature! In addition, the switching is special; the 4-position switch switches (a combination of) bridge / bridge + middle / middle + neck / neck.
