The EarthQuaker Devices Spatial Delivery V3 is a wonderfully weird voltage-controlled envelope filter that pushes beyond the bounds of classic funk, while still embracing your guilty pleasure for auto-wah. Version 3 brings six preset slots, letting you save and instantly recall your favorite settings.

It features three modes: Up Sweep, Down Sweep, and Sample & Hold. In Up and Down modes, the Range, Resonance, and Filter controls let you dial in bold, expressive sweeps. Range, paired with your picking dynamics, determines the envelope’s sensitivity and speed—higher Range settings and harder attacks trigger faster, higher frequency sweeps; lower settings give you slower, subtler movement.

Tame the controls, stack your favorite fuzz or overdrive after the Spatial Delivery, and you’ve got a resonant, mix-cutting lead tone. Push the settings and suddenly—you’re a bedroom rock deity broadcasting from another dimension.

In Sample & Hold mode, the filter is driven by random voltage, creating glitchy, chaotic textures. Here, the Range knob adjusts the speed of those random sweeps. Throw in a sub-octave (pre or post) and you’ve got yourself a fried-circuit space droid meltdown.

The Filter knob crossfades between high-pass (counterclockwise), band-pass (center), and low-pass (clockwise), offering a broad spectrum of tonal flavors. Resonance ranges from subtle to near-oscillation, giving the filter voice added depth and zing.

You can assign the expression jack to any parameter and save that assignment with each preset—perfect for real-time control. Switching between presets is simple and reliable, with a dedicated LED indicator to show whether you're in Save or Recall mode.
