Evans HD (Heavy Duty) snare drum heads combine durability with good tonal response. The heads consist of a coated outer layer of 5 mil film, and an inner layer of 7.5 mil film, with a 2 mil control ring on the underside that subtly attenuates excess overtones to keep the sound nicely balanced. EVANS HD sheets have a slightly sharper attack, a short sustain and a reasonably clear tone, along with the added wear resistance of Evans' high-quality coating. This coated sheet also features Level 360 Technology.
