Eve Audio SC307

The SC307 is a three-way studio monitor with 6.5" woofers and their AMT ribbon tweeter. Three-way means that inside the SC307 there are 3 amplifiers, each dealing with a different part of the frequency range. So with crossovers at 300Hz and 2800Hz we have the two woofers divided between low-end and midrange while the ribbon tweeter can fully focus on everything above that 2800Hz. This way we achieve a fuller and more detailed reproduction of the audio and avoid distortion.

This gives the SC307 a frequency range of an impressive 40Hz to 21kHz, which is remarkable with 6.5" woofers. And with 114 dB SPL and 250 W of power, you have more than enough output and volume for any situation.

This midfield monitor combines the power of three different amplifiers for highly efficient, dynamic and low-noise sound reproduction. This makes three-way systems suitable not only for critical and detailed listening, but also for delivering power and thunderous bass.

These three-way systems are designed around the concept of properly distributing frequencies between all individual components and effectively increasing the efficiency of your speakers.

In our three-way systems, each driver (woofer or tweeter) gets its own amplifier. One of the woofers serves frequencies up to 300 Hz as a kind of "bass," while the other woofer gives you a fuller range as a bass-midrange driver, up to the cutoff frequency of 3000 Hz. From that frequency, our AMT tweeter takes over. This minimizes interference between the drivers and also ensures that the SC307 delivers highly efficient and dynamic sound reproduction.

What this design philosophy means is that less effective physical work is done by each individual woofer, since the band of frequencies to be reproduced is distributed between both woofers. This, in turn, results in less mechanical inertia and more efficient sound transmission.

Drivers

Both woofers consist of our patented 6.5" SilverCone, the same one used in our two-way system, the SC207, and are equipped with our sophisticated low-distortion copper magnet system. However, because two of these woofers are used simultaneously, you get a larger frequency response up to 40 Hz.

The SC307 also uses the patented AMT RS2 tweeter, which uses a larger faceplate and larger internal magnet to drive the AMT tweeter with greater efficiency.

The three 100 W PWM power amplifiers won't let you down either, as evidenced by the maximum sound pressure level of 114 dB (SPL @ 1m).

And you don't have to worry about how to properly place the SC307 in your room or studio. Our DSP section helps you choose the speaker for left and right. This way you always get the right symmetry between your speakers, instead of having to move them around as usual. A DIP switch on the back of the speakers allows you to temporarily lock these room adjustment settings.

As with any EVE Audio speaker, you have both balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs for added convenience.
