Gamechanger Audio has partnered with Jack White and Third Man Records for a powerful version of the well-known Plasma Pedal: the Plasma Coil high-voltage distortion pedal. Like the Plasma Pedal, the Plasma Coil converts your audio signal into a 3.5 KVolt electrical charge, which is passed through a xenon-filled vacuum tube, creating a deliciously chaotic distrortion/fuzz. But that's not all: you get five additional octave spacings, including two sub-octave spacings, an upper octave spacer and two mixed octave spacings, to create the kind of harmonically dense fuzz and distortion sounds. We know these, of course, from Jack White's unique sound. Gamechanger Audio's Plasma Coil follows the basic blueprint of its predecessor, by converting your audio signal into a series of continuous high-voltage discharges within a xenon-filled vacuum tube, rather than relying on clipping diodes, driven tubes or transistors. The result is brutal, gritty distortion that is highly sensitive to dynamics. With its glowing yellow beam of electricity, the Plasma Coil gives you real-time visual feedback of the interaction between your guitar signal and the pedal, as they merge into brain-bending overdrive and otherworldly octave fuzz effects.

6 octaves inspired by Jack White and Third Man Records
When Jack White was at the helm of the White Stripes, he had his hands full as rhythm guitarist, lead guitarist and bassist. To achieve his stacked signature sound, Jack often used octave-based distortion and fuzz effects. The Plasma Coil follows that sound, with five octave circuits on top of the standard high-voltage setting, producing everything from synthy sub-octave growls to bitcrushed sputters and scorching high-octave sustain. An additional effect footswitch drives the Plasma Coil's distortion even further by adding more gain and more attitude. In addition, it is switchable between momentary or locked modes to hold or fire the effect in bursts.
