Hiwatt DR20/0.5 Combo 1x12 - The Little Rig

The Hiwatt DR20/0.5 Combo 1x12 - better known as The Little Rig - brings the iconic British sound in a compact and powerful format. This combo combines the legendary preamp and tone stack of the DR103/504 with a 20-watt output stage that is switchable down to 0.5 watts. So you always have a choice between the signature Hiwatt headroom and clarity at stage volume, or a warm breakup at studio level.

The original linked input circuit provides a more powerful and present sound. The Fat Switch gives you extra low end and more volume. The Normal and Brilliant channels make it easy to tune the amp to different guitars: perfect for bringing dark pickups to life or rounding out sharp elements in your sound.

Controls are complete: a 3-band EQ (bass, middle, treble), presence, treble boost, master volume and standby. On the back you'll find variable speaker outputs for 4 Ω, 8 Ω and 16 Ω. Inside works a classic tube combination of 4 × ECC83 (12AX7) in the preamp and 2 × EL84 in the output stage. With the 12-inch Fane speaker, this combo delivers the authentic 1960s British sound. And weighing only 21.7 kg and measuring 61.5 × 61.5 × 36 cm, it is easy to carry around.
