We’ve been a proud and dedicated dealer for our friends at Holy Cow Guitarstraps for years! These are unique vintage straps, entirely handmade in the Netherlands—each one is gorgeous and packed with mojo that goes through the roof!
All the fabrics used are genuine vintage (mostly from the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s), painstakingly sought out and found in small “new old dead stock” lots at old local Dutch and Belgian fabric stores and warehouses. As a result, 95% of the straps in our collection are one-of-a-kind, because Holy Cow can only make a handful of the same straps from a single piece of fabric. The fibers, velour, patterns, and the way they were woven years ago go perfectly with the rock ’n’ roll vibe of a guitar and the old-school colors we all still love. The leather for the end pieces is also hand-selected and cut.
The base of the strap is either seatbelt webbing or thickly woven linen. Either way, it’s sturdy, durable, and comfortable. Holy Cow intentionally keeps the holes in the end pieces narrow to prevent the strap from slipping off your guitar as the leather becomes more flexible over time. Because of this, you may need to cut the slit in the end pieces a little deeper to fit the strap button.
