The Jupiter Junior 20 Combo is one such amplifier that shows what Dutch Koch is primal at; a compact all-rounder with a classic sound, high quality and yet affordable.
The Jupiter Junior is based on its now iconic big brother, the 'Jupiter 45' and together the two form a strong diptych within Koch's hybrid technology amplifier line.

This hybrid technology in this case means; a tube preamp combined with and hi-end mosfet (transistor) power amplifier. The Jupiter amplifiers are characterized by the dynamic but very linear operation of the transistor output stage; it behaves and sounds very natural like a tube power amplifier but also sounds good at low volumes. A perfect amplifier for at home, then, but with its 20 watts of power, you can do small gigs with this as well. The speaker is a 10" Jensen and due to the closed back construction of the combo it sounds remarkably fat and tight.
And despite its small size, the Koch Junior is packed with features. You can easily switch between the two channels: Clean, Overdrive and that second channel still features a switchable gain boost. The amp is also equipped with a reverb, passive 3-band EQ, FX loop, recording output and comes complete with 2-way footswitch.
