Korg BM-1

The Korg BM-1 is a compact tool for studio and stage that allows devices with a standard 5-pin DIN MIDI connector to send or receive MIDI data wirelessly. This allows you, for example, to wirelessly control an analog synthesizer from the 80s from your DAW, or wirelessly connect your digital piano at home to your tablet. You can also use a wired MIDI controller as a wireless performance instrument - ideal for more freedom of movement on stage. The BM-1 does not need its own power source; it is powered via the output voltage of a standard MIDI output.

After switching on, the BM-1 automatically searches for nearby BLE-MIDI devices and connects immediately. True plug-and-play, in other words. The two adapters (MIDI IN and MIDI OUT) are interconnected with a flexible cable. This allows you to connect them easily, even when the MIDI connections are close together or on top of each other. If your device has only a MIDI output, you can also use the main adapter (MIDI OUT) separately. The sub-adapter (MIDI IN) functions only in conjunction with the main adapter.

The free Korg BM-1 app for iOS and iPadOS also lets you create groups of up to five BM-1 units so that they can exchange MIDI data among themselves. That opens up new creative options, both in the studio and live.
