The MXR M104 Distortion+ is a ferocious, organic 1970s guitar pedal. Give your guitar the raw sound of a classic tube amp. Guitarists like Dave Murray of Iron Maiden, and Randy Rhoads used this unique pedal for their signature heavy metal sound.
With the M104 Distortion+'s distortion dial, you determine how much overdrive effect you want to mix with the original signal. This way you give your chords and solos the typical rough rock effect from a subtle edge to full-on crunching noise. The overall volume is controlled by the output knob. Power for the M 104 effect pedal is provided by a 9 V battery, although you can also opt for the optional adapter.
