The Duo uses Wavelength's unitary design, a piezoelectric copolymer, an undersaddle pickup and a highly efficient, miniature omnidirectional electret condenser microphone. This microphone is nestled in a special absorbent, viscoelastic polymer shockpad for optimum isolation. Two lightweight, unobtrusive knobs control master volume and microphone volume. The microphone channel has two stages of frequency smoothing to combat resonant feedback at low frequencies. You can even connect it in stereo to separate the pickup and microphone outputs for connection to a two-channel preamp. And the two sound sources are mated to an 18V preamp with high headroom, low noise and high input impedance, with a dynamic range twice that of typical 9V systems.
