Shure MVX2U Gen 2

The Shure MVX2U Gen 2 is a compact audio interface that combines two functions in one device. On the one hand, it functions as a microphone activator with up to +60 dB gain, ideal for dynamic microphones with lower output levels. On the other hand, it functions as an XLR-to-USB audio interface with +48V phantom power, which also allows condenser microphones to be used directly. This allows you to easily connect virtually any XLR microphone to a computer, smartphone or tablet.

Thanks to built-in digital signal processing, the MVX2U Gen 2 instantly delivers consistent sound quality. Features such as Auto Level Mode, Real-time Denoiser and Digital Popper Stopper ensure that your voice is automatically optimized for recordings, podcasts, livestreams and video recordings. Via the 3.5mm headphone output, you listen along with your recording without delay.

In combination with the MOTIV Mix desktop app and the MOTIV Audio and MOTIV Video apps, you set up the interface completely to your liking. You have control over gain, EQ, compression and limiter, among other things. Presets can be saved so you can quickly reuse the same settings on multiple devices. Regular firmware updates keep the interface up-to-date and functioning optimally.

New in MVX2U Gen 2 compared to the first generation
The MVX2U Gen 2 is a major update to the original MVX2U introduced in 2023. The second generation is better suited to modern content creators working on multiple devices. For example, the Gen 2 now supports direct use with mobile devices and tablets, allowing both dynamic and condenser microphones to be easily used in a mobile recording workflow. In addition, the interface features Shure's latest digital sound processing, including Auto Level Mode, Real-time Denoiser and Digital Popper Stopper, which are readily available for connected XLR microphones. The Gen 2 works with the MOTIV Mix desktop app and with the MOTIV Audio and MOTIV Video apps for mobile use. In addition, the last preset used can be saved, so you can easily reuse the same audio settings on different devices.
