The SM7B is the radio and podcast microphone from Shure. It's a dynamic microphone with a very nice proximity effect. Speak nice and close to the microphone and experience the boomy "movie trailer" sound!
The Shure SM7b is a true classic. Its frequency response is flat but soft, and it is perfect for speech. The microphone naturally gives a full, deep sound. The SM7b microphone is fully magnetically shielded to prevent interference from telephones, monitors and wireless signals. A special air suspension shockmount prevents handling noise. A bass roll-off filter filters out unwanted background noise.
Its frequency range of 50 Hertz to 20 kHz covers almost the entire range of human hearing. The cardioid pickup pattern of the Shure SM7-b studio microphone allows you to record even in a busy studio or noisy environment. The cardioid pickup pattern ensures that you only record where the microphone is pointing, which is usually your voice! So you won't be bothered by monitors or colleagues in the studio when you're recording.
