Sontronics ST-POP Pop Shield

The Sontronics ST-POP is a professional pop filter designed for anyone recording vocals or speech. Thanks to its double-layer nylon mesh, this pop filter delivers smoother, less sharp results than traditional metal pop screens and is an indispensable tool for clear, controlled vocal recordings.

The fine nylon mesh effectively reduces pop sounds that occur with consonants such as "p" and "b," and also tempers sibilance with sounds such as "s," "z," "sh" and "ch. This keeps recordings sounding natural and balanced. The ST-POP can also be used to limit air pressure and peaks for wind instruments, brass, drums and guitar amps.

The 188 mm diameter nylon cartridge is placed in a sturdy plastic housing and attached to a flexible gooseneck. This allows you to easily position the pop filter at any angle. The strong screw clamp ensures stable attachment to a microphone stand or to the edge of a desk.

Maintenance is easy: the cartridge is removable and can be cleaned with warm water and mild soap. For extra security, the ST-POP comes with a spare cartridge.
