Strymon Deco V2

The Strymon Deco V2 Tape Saturation & Doubletracker is the new version of this pedal, offering the same capabilities and warm sound as analog tape recorders from the Beatles’ era. This new version features a Tone knob and a Voice knob that let you choose between classic and cassette saturation, as well as a number of hardware improvements.

Beneath this silver exterior lies a world of possibilities. By saturating the input signal, you create a natural drive. Additionally, this pedal can be used as a delay. It produces both a slap-back echo and an analog tape delay. It also features a Wobble knob that lets you create flanger and chorus effects.

This new version features full MIDI control, including MIDI clock synchronization and access to 300 presets via MIDI. It features a USB-C port for MIDI-over-USB and firmware updates, enabling bidirectional MIDI communication with a single cable using Strymon’s Conduit interface.

The pedal features full stereo inputs and a MONO/STEREO input switch on the back of the unit—a major improvement and much more convenient than having to take the pedal apart to change the internal physical jumper position, as was the case with the original. In addition, it features better preamps, and the processor has also been upgraded.

The pedal also offers True Bypass, but you can opt for the Buffered Bypass function as well.
