To create a clearer and more sensitive sound, Tama has re-engineered the string mat using new materials, a modified shape of the plate and a different winding structure of the wire coils. This allows the "Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snare Wire" to fit more closely to the resonance sheet, resulting in a higher response and a brighter, tighter sound.
