How does the braided outer wrap help?
Warm Audio uses a braided nylon wrap for the Premier line: the wrap removes the friction that occurs when rubber or PVC rub against each other, making it much easier to handle and wrap the cable. No more spaghetti fighting! Also adds an element of strength and reliability, as it helps protect the PVC jacket of the cable from damage due to pinching or binding when moving. And it just feels better (soft and smooth).

Double-Ruessen shielding goes beyond more traditional techniques in two ways: First, the cable is wrapped with two separate shields. Second, the outer shield is wound in opposite directions to the inner shield, creating a stronger and more complete barrier to EMI for the internal cores.

Why use gold and silver connectors?
Precious metals are not only beautiful, some also have properties that are beneficial to signal transmission. Although the actual audio transmission of gold and silver connectors is about the same (without context, silver is actually slightly better in that regard), we put gold connectors in our Premier line primarily because gold offers more corrosion resistance than other precious metals. But trust us, both Premier and Pro sound great, which is to say that these cables do not color the actual audio signal at all!
