The Warm Audio Reamper WA-RA is a full analog routing hub for guitarists, producers, engineers and sound designers who want to combine amps, pedals, synths and studio outboard in new ways. This is much more than a traditional reamp box. The WA-RA combines an active instrument preamp, re-amp device, line-level interface and silent recording solution in one compact unit, providing a bridge between guitar equipment and professional studio engineering.

Whereas many reamp boxes are limited to one task - sending a dry recording back to an amp - the Reamper is designed as a creative signal center. You can send dry DAW recordings back through real tube amps, simultaneously record a dry safety track, integrate effects pedals into studio signal paths, add rack-outboard to your guitar setup, and even quietly record overdriven amps without a speaker cabinet.

Re-amping with real amps and pedals
One of the most powerful uses of the Warm Audio Reamper is classic re-amping. This involves first recording a clean DI signal and later re-sending it from your DAW through a real tube amp and possibly a chain of pedals. This allows you to experiment with other amps, speaker cabinets, mic placements or effect combinations during the mix without having to reamp. This is not only practical, but also creatively powerful. For example, you can re-amp one performance several times later with different sounds for layering, stereo arrangements or sound design. For producers and engineers, that opens up a huge playing field that often feels less organic with plug-ins.

Simultaneously record dry and amplified signals
The Reamper works not only after the fact, but also during tracking. While playing through your favorite amp for feel and response, you can simultaneously record a clean DI signal as a safety track. Should it turn out later that a different amp or sound works better, you always have that option. This is a workflow that many professional studios use, but becomes much more accessible with the WA-RA. Especially for critical recordings or sessions where work has to be done quickly, that's a big advantage.

Using guitar pedals in line-level studiochains
A particularly creative application is the inclusion of guitar pedals in balanced studio signal paths. The Reamper makes it possible to correctly adapt unbalanced effects pedals for line-level sources, allowing you to deploy, for example, fuzz, analog delay, chorus, phaser or tremolo on vocals, synths, drum buses or even complete mixes. As a result, classic guitar pedals suddenly become full-fledged studio effects. This opens up hybrid analog workflows for sound designers and producers that would normally require additional interfaces and complex routing.

Incorporating studio outboards into your guitar signal
The WA-RA also offers special possibilities the other way around. Studio equipment such as compressors, EQs, tape simulators, reverbs or delays from a rack can be integrated directly into your guitar signal path, during recording or re-amping. This allows you to combine the character of professional studio outboards with the dynamics of your guitar and amplifier chain. Especially for experimental sounds, ambient textures or high-quality tracking recordings, this is a very interesting application.

Silent recording with built-in power soak
One of the most distinctive features of the Warm Audio Reamper is the integrated 50 watt / 8 Ohm power soak. This allows you to fully output a tube amplifier without having a speaker cabinet connected. That means you not only pick up preamp distortion, but also the compression, saturation and response of the output stage - quietly and in a controlled manner. You can choose between direct speaker thru-routing or use the built-in load functionality for silent recording. As a result, the Reamper works both as a creative routing tool and as a practical recording solution for home studios and professional environments.

Variable impedance and active analog signal control
An important part of the sound and interaction is in the variable impedance control from 120 kOhm to 1 MOhm. With this, you adjust the load for passive pickups, active instruments, pedals and line-level sources to ensure that everything responds optimally. In addition, the WA-RA features a switchable JFET discrete- or JFET op-amp input stage for additional control over character and response. Along with the infinitely adjustable re-amp output, you can make extremely precise adjustments to the signal toward amplifiers, effects or outboard.

CineMag transformers and professional build quality
For maximum signal integrity, Warm Audio uses CineMag transformers on both input and output stages. Combined with fully active ultra-low-noise electronics, the signal remains clean, dynamic and controlled, even in complex routes. With balanced XLR and 6.35 mm line-level connections, phase invert and ground elevator per channel, universal power supply and rugged construction, the WA-RA is designed to be a serious studio tool. As usual with Warm Audio, each one is manually tested and comes with a 5-year warranty.
