Austrian Audio Hi-X50

The Austrian Audio Hi-X50 is a professional, closed reference headphone for live & studio mixing, among other things. The Hi-X50 is an on-ear model, meaning the shells lie on your ears. The advantage of an on-ear model is that the headphones are smaller (easier to carry), lightweight and therefore slightly cheaper. And sometimes people just like it when the ear cups lie on your ear, instead of over it.

Headphones for mixing

The headphone drivers have a newly designed Hi-X technique (High Excursion), this ensures a nice, tight low-end reproduction. Note that these headphones are tuned for analytical audio reproduction. This means that it gives a nice, flat response monitor sound. So do not expect deep full boosted bass and treble hi-shelf highs. These are not hi-fi headphones. These very headphones are designed for critical mixing of your live or studio mix to get your sound well balanced.
